Weathering Life’s Storms Together

This weekend was spent in my home town of Grand Haven, MI at the wedding of very dear family friends. Stephen and Kallie brought friends and family from across the country to witness their vow to love, honor and keep eachother for the rest of their lives. Kallie and Stephen have shown such an admirable love for eachother…they are an amazing couple of strength, love and support…not only for eachother, but for both of their amazing families as well. I know my family felt very honored and privileged to be a part of their fun-filled weekend. Thanks you guys!

Here are a few photos from the Rehearsal Dinner. The night began with a sunset cruise on the Grand Haven channel. The weather called for rain, which thankfully held off…until we were under the tent enjoying our dinner. It was quite an experience to be enjoying a delicious dinner and yummy groom’s cake with a raging summer storm outside. It didn’t last long and left a dramatic sky behind.

This is my handsome father enjoying his boat ride.

This is the groom’s father, Dave. I loved how relaxed and happy everyone looked during this boat ride. It’s hard not to relax when you’re on the water in Grand Haven.

Kallie and Stephen live in Colorado. Their cakes at Rehearsal Dinner all had something that they love to do on them. This one was my favorite…to look at and to eat. 🙂

There’s Troy Boy! My brother had to miss a lot of the weekend’s festivities due to school. He’s in the police academy and had class all weekend. We missed him! I noticed that I captured a bunch of profile shots this night. It was tricky to enjoy the evening and also keep my eye through the viewfinder. I promise that there are shots of the happy couple to come…keep scrolling!

The wedding ceremony and reception was at the Spring Lake Country Club. Again, the weather was perfect for the ceremony. We were outside down on the water….beautiful! Then we moved inside to be seated for dinner…right as the rain came. It made for a beautiful sun set. The lighting on the headtable was stunning. Perfect!

Here they are….Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Walker!

I loved, loved their reflection in the rain soaked window! The light on Kallie’s veil illuminates her! She looks like an angel.

The speeches from the maid of honor and best man were terrific. I’ve heard some terrible speeches before (haven’t we all?) but these were wonderful. They were heatfelt, funny and entertaining. Great job to both of them. This shot is Kallie laughing at her new brother-in-law.

I also loved their colors and flower arrangements! Beautiful and vibrant Gerber Daisies were everywhere. I also like that Stephen’s wedding band is reflecting light in this photo.

Their photographers did a wonderful job of being in the right place at the right time. I can’t wait to see the photos. I’ll be sure to post a link when I know that they are up.

To both the Walker and Deeter families, thank you so much for sharing your day with us. It was simply beautiful. Congratulations to Stephen and Kallie. I wish you nothing but the best that life has to offer you. Best wishes! More photos of the big event are posted under the “Gallery”.
