After 30 years at OSU as a Psych Nurse, Jeff celebrated his retirement in style! The night included dancing, wine, a bonfire, cocktails, live music, great food and close friends and family. The weather was great and the entertainment was fabulous! I hope you all enjoy these fun photos….I felt like the paparazzi as I photographed Cacti playing…if you haven’t checked out the Cacti website you must visit it. They are the up and coming band in Columbus, OH. They play classic covers with a twist and have incredible originals that they debuted at the Newport Music Hall on High Street a couple weeks ago. Have you clicked on the Cacti link yet? DO IT! The gentlemen were great sports about having the flash in their faces…thanks for letting me photograph you boys! Mwah! (That’s a kiss.)
Now for the photos…
And now for the adoring fans and the man of the hour…
What a FUN night!!! I can’t wait to do it again. It was so nice to meet everyone at the party and be a part of all the fun. Thank you for the yummy food and the very good wine. Oh and yes…I was the one who let out a scream of joy when Cacti started playing Country Roads. That song runs through my veins.
And a side note to my family…no, I have not gone off the deep end and crossed over to the “other side”. I will never wear red on Saturdays. But I do love my new Buckeye friends. 🙂
To my cheerleaders and motivators…your support during my Marathon training has been a crucial part of my success. Thank you to everyone who calls and asks about my runs, my sore legs, my insane mind and this unbreakable spirit. And an even bigger thank you to those who will brave a peek at my toenails. I finished TWENTY MILES with Meghan on Sunday and it was an incredible feeling. We are both officially signed up for the Detroit Marathon and will be taking on 26.2 miles on October 19th (the day after my Mother’s birthday!) I love you all and couldn’t be where I am today without you.
Happy Monday y’all!!
