I recognized that I haven’t done many personal posts on my blog lately, so I decided today would be the day that I catch up on myself. My family and I had a beautiful Christmas together in West Virginia. We spent time together laughing, talking and eating (not to mention a few glasses of wine here and there.) The holidays tend to fly by and this year was no different. I got Drew a ping pong table for Christmas. He was so surprised! (I’m still surprised that I pulled it off and managed to get it in the house without him seeing it – thanks to the help of many!) Drew surprised me with something I’ve been wanting for a long time….a disc painter!! You might think that sounds boring…but I’ve had my eye on one for a while. It adds my own flair and professionalism to the discs I give my clients. I wanted to post this photograph of my best project yet, but I didn’t want to ruin Nancy’s surprise! I got an elated email from her bubbling with excitement over her discs, so I can now post the photograph without ruining her surprise.
Isn’t that great?!?! I love that I can personalize each and every disc for my clients now instead of just scrawling their name on the front of a blank CD. You know you are excited about a Christmas present when you open it up immediately and then get it out of the packaging. I couldn’t wrap Drew’s ping pong table, so I threw some sheets over it and put a bow on it. We ripped into the cardboard as soon as it was unveiled! Same thing with my disc painter. I opened it up and Drew took it straight to my studio to set it up for me. We painted 4 CDs within the first 20 minutes!
Our families went overboard on gifts for us (and our pets) again this year. You are all so wonderful and I can’t thank you enough. Drew and I are truly blessed. If you’ve followed my blog in the past, you know that this is a very difficult time of year for me. I’m travelling consistantly and I don’t have as much time for my blog as I normally do. So if I seem absent it’s only because I’m busy being a road warrior. This too shall pass. 🙂 I’m off to catch up on a few photos, laundry, grocery shopping and email. Have a beautiful (and warm!) week!
