Really…all our sweet Husky lives for is to run outside. He talks, begs and barks at you until you succumb to his needs and take him to the park. This day was no different.
He’s laying by the front door next to my boots and saying “Please take me out…it’s snowing really hard out there and I just want to run. Please?” Of course I agree to this plea….but wait! What’s this?? I think his Papa is going to go with us!!!
This is very exciting for both Beauy and myself. I’ll actually have someone who will respond to my ranting on this walk. Yess!!! We waste little time and turn the big dog loose in his snow kingdom.
“I’m so happy! I’m so happy! Crazy eyes!”
I wanted to try and show you just how deep the snow was. Remember those boots at the beginning of the post? The snow came to the top of them. It was a little dark when we were out there and Beaus eyes were glowing!
Our house looks intensely yellow with all this snow. Notice how our walkway is partially clear? We are very, very lucky that it is this manageable. One thing that I have learned by living a full winter in Ohio is that snow shovels are very hard to come by. We have been to Lowe’s, Home Depot and the local hardware store half a dozen times this year and they are always sold out of shovels. How. Is. This. Possible? Are the residents of Columbus purchasing snow shovels in mass quantities in fear that one shovel won’t get the job done? I just don’t get it. So lucky for us, our neighbor Shad is a gold medal snow shoveller (happy winter Olympics!) and he takes care of our walkway. THANK YOU SHAD!!! And to show my appreciation, I baked him and his sweet family these cookies after our outing in the snow. I was feeling inspired.
They say “Thank You!” and “Think Spring” on them. Thank you again Shad & Co.!! You are the best!! 🙂
