I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and WAITING to purchase the 85mm 1.8 lens. The wait is ooooooooover!!! It finally came today and I dropped everything that I was doing – which was mostly laundry – to snap this baby on my camera and start snapping away. It’s been a weird gray day around with spontaneous bursts of sunlight. All of these were taken in my living room during a very cloudy part of the day. All of these are also SOOC (straight out of camera) with no editing.
After I got the lens on I started hunting for a subject. I found her, lounging quietly on the back of our corner chair. Sasha hasn’t had much blog love lately, so now is her time to shine.
It looks like she’s been waiting for me to take her photograph all day. As a matter of fact, I think she has been in this exact spot, alllll day.
I’ve always been happy with the color that I get from my camera. But the sharpness and DOF on this lens is incredible…
I found my happy package on the front porch after Beau and I returned from a run. (Yes, I’m running 5 days after finishing the marathon. And it was 5 days too soon…lots of walking on that short 2.5 miler.) Beau was hot and exhausted and did not want his photo taken. Normally he’s much more photogenic when it comes to having his picture taken, but today he wasn’t having it.
I think he was embarrassed because he was soaking wet and not having a good hair day. Speaking of Beauy and his hair days….we have an appointment with the groomer’s next week. For those of you that are cringing because you saw me “mis-communicate” with the groomer last year and ended up with a husky who was sheared like a sheep, don’t worry! I’m going in with explicit instructions on what a “de-shedding” treatment really is. God bless Beauy (and Drew for that matter) for forgiving me for that tiny mis-hap.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
