On a dreary, gray, rainy and humid day in June (yes, June….thank you for your patience Brian and Lindsay) I made my way to Williamstown, WV to meet the first baby boy of proud parents Brian and Lindsay. And oooohhh is he so so cute! I knew this was going to be a great shoot (despite the rain) when I walked in and Lindsay had the entire dining room table covered with wardrobe options. I was in heaven. We went to work putting a few looks together and I scoped out their house to make an impromptu studio since we were stuck inside. **Side note for future and current clients: I don’t like canceling sessions! Especially when my schedule is packed. So if we ever have to switch to an indoor shoot, I hope these photographs will reassure you that no matter where we are, things will turn out great!**
We started off outside in their screened in porch – Lindsay and Brian have a gorgeous home and it wasn’t difficult finding perfect little spots to photograph them in. Chase was in a fantastic mood so we got down to business. And please tell me….is this not the most content little guy you’ve ever seen. Soooo happy. 🙂
Chase has SO many faces!! They kept me smiling during post-processing. You just want to kiss his cheeks!
The one above is hands down my favorite basket shot. You can just tell that he’s thinking…”Really? Why on earth am I in this basket surrounded by these hot blankets?” But then he realizes….it’s not so bad. Kinda cozy….
That’s little kitty Creasey walking through my shot in the back. After blowing it up and seeing it out of the camera, I decided I liked it more than I thought I would. Adds a bit of contrast to the photo that otherwise wouldn’t have been there. Thank you Miss Creasey! For that…here’s your debut.
That’s sweet Hiera on the right. Most of you know I’m an animal LOVERRRRR. So when Chase needed a break from shooting, I hunted for the kitties. 🙂
He’s a mama’s boy.
Errr…maybe a daddy’s boy. It’s hard to choose when both of your parents are as cool as Chase’s. 🙂 I love the lighting in the one above. Impromptu studio set ups can be tricky, but they make your photographs uniquely your own. Very worth it.
Now…is this the BEST photo I’ve ever taken? Probably not…but does it scream emotion, love, happiness and contentment? YES, YES, YES!! Brian and Lindz…you guys are so incredibly lucky. The love was pouring out of your house and I couldn’t be happier for you both.
There is always at least one (most often more than just one) photo that makes me squeal out loud in my studio when I see it out of the camera for the first time…this was one of those photos. Look at Chase’s sweet little hands. And his “I’m getting really tired of you and your camera” face. He’s precious!
See? So many faces!! And as you can tell…it was impossible for me to limit the amount of photos I put up for Chase and his family. And Brian and Lindsay…you have loads more to sift through in your online private gallery. YAY! It was such an honor to get down to see you guys. Thank you for inviting my camera and I into your home to capture your sweet little guy and the precious moments you shared. It was incredible!
