I’m so happy for my dear friend Megan and her husband John. They welcomed a tiny baby girl into their lives on July 26, 2010. (A Coast Guard Baby!) Ainsley has Megan’s beautiful strawberry blond hair and her daddy’s eyes. Cutest little thing ever! I’ve known Megan since 6th grade. I was new at Rosy Mound Elementary and Meg and I became fast friends because we had the same name. (Things aren’t complicated in 6th grade.) We spent our days making movies, playing Barbies, swimming in her pool (as mermaids) and discussing our terror of Jr. High. I think I even put on makeup for the first time at Meg’s house. And I’m sure it wasn’t pretty.
So when Megan asked me if I could squeeze in a photo session of her first born, I didn’t hesitate to make it work. I arrived at Megan and John’s home in Michigan to see their little treasure. After oogling over the sleeping baby, Meg and I went straight to her closet. And it was JAMMED with precious little clothes! I wanted to dress her up in everything. To my disappointment, I was crunched for time and I knew we wouldn’t be able to get everything on her. (Ainsley was relieved.) Se we chose a few cute little dresses and went to work.
Ainsley is perfection.
She is pondering life’s many mysteries.
LOVE this one, Meggie.
This one screams birth announcement!
Don’t you just LOVE this hat?? Her sweet Uncle Drew (not my Drew, Meg’s older brother, Drew) got her this hat on his way to meet his new little niece. PERFECT!!
Meg you are so beautiful!! You look great as a new mom.
John was at work in the beginning of our session. So glad he made it home towards the end. This is the making of “Daddy’s Little Girl.”
And yes…you’ve seen this hat before, but not in black and white!
Meg and John, you are a beautiful family! I’m so happy for you guys and so happy that I was able to photograph your sweet little girl. Congratulations and enjoy this special time in your life. I hear it goes by fast. 🙂 xoxoxo
