***UPDATE!! I’ve gotten so many excited emails from Leah and Eric’s friends and family, I thought I’d put a little announcement on their blog post. Their full gallery will be available in a few weeks. In their gallery will be over 300 photos from their wedding day. You’ll be able to view and purchase them after Leah and Eric receive their access instructions. I love all of your enthusiasm!!! I’ll have the photos done asap!*****
A couple weeks ago I had the ultimate pleasure of photographing two of the nicest, sweetest, most in-love couples ever. Leah and Eric had the perfect day. Even though it didn’t quite start that way…
When I woke up on August 21, 2010 I looked outside and thought, it’s going to be a beautiful day. I tweeted that. Not even 10 minutes later, it clouded over and started raining. 45 minutes after that, I get the text from the groom saying that the outdoor wedding has been moved inside due to rain. 🙁 But the church is beautiful so everything will be fine!!! 🙂 I headed over to Leah’s parent’s house to document one of the best parts of the day: getting ready!!
I love being at the bride’s parent’s home in the morning because everything has a personal touch. The Dress was hanging in the room Leah grew up in. I found a photograph of her parents at their wedding. I was able to ooh and awww over the bridesmaid gifts…which were handmade by Leah’s mom!! Those totes were awesome! And again..The Dress! It was breathtakingly beautiful. I couldn’t WAIT for Leah to put it on!
Leah had the sweetest bridal party. It was non-stop fun the moment I arrived. After the girls were dressed (they looked STUNNING!!) everyone loaded up and headed to the church. Leah’s mom decorated the church with these amazing origami pieces. They were awesome!!
This next series of photographs are jam packed with love, emotion and happiness. My heart melted when I got the photo of Eric seeing Leah for the first time. Perfect!
Mr. & Mrs!! They are married!
We headed outside for some fun. Oh, and remember that dreary, rainy day? The sun came bursting out of a bright blue sky just as their ceremony finished up. And Leah…you are simply gorgeous.
I loved the wedding party pictures!! I knew Eric and most of his groomsmen from college. So I knew we were in for some fun during our photo time. Love the socks shot!
Now it’s time for a little party….
And this shot is just for you guys…..the boys all received head lamps from Eric as part of their groomsmen gifts. You knew these were bound to surface sometime during the night….
Love it!!! What a perfectly, sweet, awesome, amazing, wonderful night! Leah and Eric, there is such a wonderful and loving connection between the two of you. I felt so honored to be a part of your day. You have wonderful families and fantastic friends. And it’s always awesome to see someone you know (Eric) so completely in-love and happy with a beautiful and kind woman (Leah). I wish you both a lifetime and beyond of pure happiness. Congratulations!
