It may have been chilly outside, but this gorgeously hot couple kept things warm, toasty and a little steamy on our photoshoot together throughout downtown Columbus. Jenna and Travis are set to be married on July 16, 2011 in downtown Columbus. When I met up with them, I knew I was going to be in for a treat. (Huge shout-out and BIG thank you to our mutual friend Meggie for hooking me up with these hotties.) They are a super sweet couple that has such a bright future ahead of them. Travis just graduated from grad school where he studied optometry at The Ohio State University and Jenna is currently studying optometry also at OSU and is set to graduate in 2011. This couple is B.U.S.Y!! They live in the neatest apartment building downtown Columbus. I was thrilled to find out that they wanted to shoot their e-session photos there and around the downtown area. (I get super duper excited when clients show up with ideas and an agenda. That might make me sound creatively lazy…but it is oh so refreshing to try something new that someone else has thought of!)
I know that I normally post anywhere from 15-20 photos in a full session blog fest….but I could NOT choose just 20 of their photos. So hang in there…for maybe the longest, record holding e-session blog post that you’ve ever seen. You also might need a cold shower afterward…these two are model material. 🙂
That green wall was causing me to go into photographer hyperventilation. I’m in-love with it.
And as you can imagine…I flipped out when I saw this wall and sign. Someone KNEW WE WERE COMING!!!
Can’t you just tell how much fun we were having? And yes…that wall is another new favorite spot. So much texture!!
So now, a little bit about where we were. Maybe I’m slow (or it’s the best kept photography secret in freaking town) but I’d never heard of Firestone Alley or the Buggyworks before Travis and Jenna brought it up. Travis (like me…although I’ve been in retirement the past three months) is a runner. And really, I shouldn’t have been surprised that he discovered this place while out and about on a run. It reminded me that alllll of my go-to photo spots have also been discovered on my own personal runs. (If that isn’t enough inspiration to lace up again, I don’t know what will do it.) When we pulled into Firestone Alley I couldn’t keep my gasping to a minimum. I was practically leaping out of the car to start the shoot. And hopefully you can see why….
By the way….love, LOVE, LOVE the photo on the right of you two. It’s just so dang sweet.
The thing of it is…I gave these two MINIMAL direction. We had our typical pow-wow that I give all of my clients before a shoot and then *poof* they just did exactly what my mind was thinking without me even verbalizing it. I shouted a few “look here”, “look over there”, “say something hilarious” but other than that…they did it all. In other words…you two were a dream to work with. 😉
Congratulations Travis and Jenna!! I’m beyond words excited for your big and beautiful day. The love you two share will be radiating from the skyscrapers for all of Columbus to see. Have a happy, safe, exciting and blessed New Year. 2011 is yours for the taking! xoxox
And if you think you haven’t seen enough…please see even more of their photos in this slideshow!!
