It was a monumental day for myself and m•n•r photography as I hopped in my car yesterday morning and made my way to Dayton. I still remember the day when I sat down to my computer and opened my first email from Robyn. I had just relocated to Columbus from Royal Oak and was starting my business over again. I was shocked, excited, surprised and THRILLED to learn that she had found my tiny business online, loved my work and wanted me to photograph her newborn son, Jake. I still remember screaming upstairs to Drew “Honey! Someone found me online BY THEMSELVES! And they want TO BOOK ME!!!” Again, monumental friends. So when I showed up at Brian and Robyn’s house and met Jake for the first time, I knew right away that they had a very special place in my heart. I spent over three hours with them at that first shoot and fell madly in-love with little Jaker. You can see his first photo shoot here. Throughout the past two years, we’ve had plenty of fun times together, see them here and here. And when Robyn told me that their family was expecting their second boy, I was over the moon with happiness for them.
So, as you can imagine yesterday was a little emotional for me. Jake, was the first baby to lay in my favorite baby basket. And yesterday, his new baby brother would lay in it for the first time. After the New Year, Robyn and Brian relocated from Columbus to Dayton (don’t get me started on this subject, it’s already a tough one.) But as promised, we kept in touch and I made the trek to their (GORGEOUS!) new home to photograph their precious new addition.
And I don’t think you need any reminder on this little blog favorite; Jaker is adjusting well to his new baby brother and new status as Big Bro.
How grown up is he? He’s turning into a mini person!
And meet sweet baby Carter! He was sooooo well behaved. So content. He gets Newborn Model of the Year award.
Now I know this is a sneak peek and normally I only post three photos max. But this is a special occasion. And I’m being incredibly indecisive on this Sunday morning. So the theme of this photo shoot was to continue our old traditions…
And to start new ones…
:’) Happy tears for a family that I love dearly!! Can’t wait to show you the rest! Enjoy your weekend and your day with another special family and client that I treasure and love. (Shout out to the Ramsey’s!) 🙂
