Allison & Ryan : Engaged!

A huge thank you for patience, bravery, guts, creativity, love, Facebook and Huskies!! Because without all of these things, this fab e-sesh wouldn’t have happened. I was first contacted by Allison when she saw my blog had a Husky on it. She left a comment telling me all about her Husky and we, of course, became friends on Facebook. Allison continued to follow my blog and shared in my family’s excitement when we welcomed Lyn-Dee home from China. And you can imagine my joy when Allison emailed me to tell me that her boyfriend Ryan had joined the Air Force and they were getting married! I was thrilled for her…but even more honored when she asked me to be their photographer for their June wedding in Lansing, Michigan.

When we planned their engagement session we threw around the idea of them coming to Columbus and me going to Lansing…but finally our calendars aligned and we worked out the perfect (and only!) date for us to meet in Grand Haven, MI. Wouldn’t you know it…the weather man predicted a chance of rain…and not just any chance: 89%!! Ick. Allison and I decided not matter what, let’s go for it. And boy did she ever! This beautiful girl showed up with BALLOONS!!! Can’t wait to show you more, but for now, enjoy this sweet sneak peek.

Allison, I LOVE these! I’m so glad you brought the balloons! Awesome inspiration! And I love the snow in your hair in the one below..yes friends, I said SNOW. The rain turned to snow as we stood on the porch of this beautiful home on Washington St in Grand Haven. Ryan kept her warm. Awww!

Drive safe across the country you two!! Congratulations and best wishes! See you in June! xoxo
