Picture Perfect!

This had to be one of my most energetic, comical, loving and determined family shoots of the year (so far!). You saw their sneak peek and heard the beginning story of how Katie and I met years ago here. I’m so excited to be debuting their full post that is full of beauty, happiness, love, laughter, bloopers, smiles and most of all: FUN! As you can imagine, trying to get a quality family shot with four adults and four children is a challenge for any family and photographer. The post processing is hilarious! I had to throw in a few “almost had it” shots for your enjoyment. But first…check out these precious babes. Cousins that were happy to be together and celebrate Isaac’s first birthday.

Love, love that chair. Look at those boys squished together! Alex kept asking me why it was pink. I pointed out the orange accents. I need a slip cover!

Ellie is the best big sister. And she warmed up to my camera in an instant!!

Alex this is a favorite!! And I loved when Alex wanted to speak with me. He’d do it in a very soft whisper so that I had to kneel down. Heartbreaker!

We decided to make our first go at a family picture. I knew it wouldn’t be easy. I think we all knew we would have to try hard…

CLOSE!! Hang in there!

Ooohh!! Try a little harder!

AHHH!! Ok, we’ll try later. You guys are HILARIOUS!!

I can read this look from a mile away “come on family…pull it together.” ๐Ÿ˜‰

It was a little chilly so we headed inside to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see whatย  kind of things we could get into. And even though it was a little (little?) chaotic…we had a blast!

Katie you couldn’t have picked a better color for your handsome boys! And I love that little moo-cow that Jace has. Makes me want to eat him up!!

WHAT’S THIS?!?!? REDEMPTION!!!

Judy I LOVE this one of you and Isaac. So sweet!

As all babies are…Jace was fascinated with his mama’s beautiful necklace. It came in handy when it was time to get his attention. ๐Ÿ™‚

And at this point we were all pros at the family picture so we got everyone involved! Grandma, Grandpa, cousins, aunts, uncles, parents…and I think it turned out fabulous. To say I had a wonderful time with this gorgeous family is just too simply stated. Katie, I can’t thank you enough for organizing this, setting it up, reaching out to me and bringing your family together for this special time together. It was a pleasure to meet you all!! And I hope you enjoy your photos for many years to come! xoxo

Mary whiting - These are wondeful. It is hard to believe the weather was cold and uninviting and you werre able to shoot such great shots.
