I know that I’ve been a very bad blogger and have left my happy place a bit neglected. But it’s time to rejoice!! Because between maternity shoots, senior shoots, newborn shoots and a First Birthday….I’m here today to debut the gorgeous wedding of Jenna and Travis!! Yay! 🙂
I met Jenna and Trav through a mutual friend and I’m so thankful that we were all introduced. Not only have they been easy breezy clients…but they’ve also turned into our friends. *Bonus perk of the job!* Their engagement shoot was FAB-u-lous and became a fan favorite among my blog readers and also got the attention of Columbus Bride. Yippies! I knew that their wedding day would be as much fun, even more romantic, and (if possible?) even more beautiful. It was not only possible…they exceeded my expectations!! It was GORGEOUS. I’m so thankful that we were able to be a part of it. A humungously huge thank you to my second shooter Trevor of The Rendezvous Photo, who did a superb job shooting with me. Check out his page…the music on his site always makes me dance in my seat.
So…it’s the 16th of July, 2011. Jenna and Travis are getting married! We arrive at the Renaissance in downtown Columbus, OH ready to capture every magical moment the day throws at us. And this day…did not disappoint.
You just know right from the start that this is going to get wild. 🙂 Jenna and Travis actually met while she was attending undergrad at UofM and he was in school at OSU. Jenna has just finished grad school at OSU but still remains loyal to the Maize-n-Blue. You might think that they are already a “house divided”, but I’m positive this won’t have any effect on the true matters of what today means to them.
Jenna and Travis are both optometrists – so sunglasses were a big deal.
Soon it was time for Jenna and Travis to have their First Look. We found a beautiful location not far from the hotel. It’s very hard for me to contain my excitement and joy when a couple chooses to do a First Look. It is truly a memorable, special moment that you will remember anticipating and experiencing forever.
After that…it’s time to relax and have fun!!!
Best. Wedding. Party. Ever. I think they could read my mind.
Jenna and Travis chose a beautiful combination of canary yellow and shades of grey and accents of silver for their wedding. It gave the evening a flair of elegance and sophistication. I was also happy to see them take a non-traditional route and serve wedding pie instead of cake! Delish!!
So yeah…remember how I told you that whole “house divided” thing would be a non-issue. It became a teeny tiny issue. 🙂
Poor Jenna. Although I do like to see how torn her new husband is between making sure he’s right on cue with the “O-H” and also trying to watch Jenna’s reaction. I think he’s trying to determine just how much trouble he’s in. Thankfully Jenna is a great sport and took up with a few of the approximate 15 Michigan supporters that were in the house.
As the night drew to a close, all was forgiven – of course after the Michigan fight song was played in retribution – and the happily, newly married couple returned to wedded bliss.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your gorgeous day Jenna and Travis!! We wish you many years of happiness, laughter, joy and blessings. (Especially through football season.) See you at Gresso’s! 🙂 xoxo
