Oh hey there! Did you think I’d dropped off the face of the Earth too? Almost, my friends…almost.
My 2012 New Year’s resolution: Return To The Blog.
2011 was indescribable for me. I took a step back from my business to marry the man of my dreams. When I came back to it in July I was nervous that I’d be twiddling my thumbs with not much to do. I was blown away…flabbergasted…left breathless by the support of my friends and clients that waited patiently for my return. I had the busiest and most successful photography season ever. I can’t thank you all enough!
With that being said…I had to alleviate the stress somewhere. Many of you know that I balance my business and photography love with a full time traveling and sales career. (Busy girl here!) When I realized that I had too many balls in the air and I wasn’t the World’s best juggler, I knew I had to let one of them drop. That ball, sadly, became my blog. Trust me…it wasn’t easy. I’d return to that ball and it begged me to play. Most of the time at midnight when I should be snuggling into bed. The good news is…it waited patiently for me. During Christmas I picked it up and lovingly told it about my New Year’s resolution. It’s happy to be in the air again and also keeping a few other Resolution secrets for me. 😉
For my 30th (yes…Thirtieth!) birthday, Drew got me an iPhone. Life. Changing. If possible it’s made me even more of a social media mongrel as I can check in on Facebook and Twitter as often as I wish. I thought that I was staying in touch enough with clients, friends and family through my business page on Facebook until I was hanging out with one of my seniors I photographed last year who was home on Christmas break and she said to me “I’m not on Facebook! How am I supposed to stay up to speed if you don’t update the blog?!” — long pause — OH! Not everyone in the world is on FB/Twitter. So again…more signs pointing me Back To The Blog.
Here is a mini collage of our fall and holiday season. Thank you iPhone. 🙂
So where does MNR Photography stand for the 2012 photography season? Lots of changes! I’ve got a list that I’m compiling of new clients to welcome to the photography family and will be contacting them when I open my calendar for spring shoots. There are a few reasons that I limit my bookings right now: 1. cold weather. 2. my travel schedule is ridic during January and February. As soon as I get my weekends back to normal and the sun starts shining and the flowers are blooming, the calendar will OPEN! If you’d like to be on my list to contact for a spring shoot, please email me at email@example.com. or visit my Contact Me! page. 🙂
I hope each and everyone of you had a blessed and happy New Year. I value your support and friendship more than you know.
