When I heard from Diana that her wedding would be at her parent’s house, I was envisioning beautiful personal touches and a gorgeous backyard ceremony. I got alllll that and then some! When we arrived at Diana’s childhood home, it was outfitted with big white tents and gorgeous landscaping. Not to mention the resort style pond/pool in the back yard. It was over 95 degrees that day and I was just 7 weeks pregnant…I thought about shooting most of the ceremony from in the water. But….I didn’t. I’m so, so, so thankful for my Michigan partner-in-crime Karen of Studio K2. (Karen also shot my wedding!!) Thank you for helping me capture this day, you are the best. Please enjoy a few of my favorites from Diana and Jonathan’s beautiful day.
These are two of my favorite Dress photographs I’ve ever taken…ever.
If you are a bride considering your wedding photography coverage, I always suggest having your photographer there in time to catch a few images of you with your girlfriends getting ready among the makeup, eyelashes, hairspray, excitement and laughter. They will be a few of your favorite photos.
Diana, I love this photograph of you. I know you wish you were smiling…but I’m glad you aren’t. You look BEAUTY-full and the emotion behind this image is telling.
I loved the groomsmen’s suits!!! You guys looked so handsome!!!
And soon…it was time to get married.
Tears!!! I love Jonathan’s sweet and happy smile seeing his beautiful bride for the first time.
Y’all did good!
Two more of my faaaaves!!!
I emailed Diana with a few questions about her day for their blog post. I asked what Jonathon’s favorite thing about Diana was (in his words) and this is what I got: “she loves me unconditionally, even when I don’t deserve it.” Ummm…I teared up.
Diana: Same question: “Jonathan is a pretty serious guy to the rest of the world (which I love of course because he’s genuine, charismatic, and intelligent) but I get the unique opportunity to see his playful, adolescent and vulnerable side come out around me, his family and his closest friends.” Perfection, friends.
And then…it was time to party.
I love this black and white image SO MUCH!! It was almost your sneak peek. 😉
EVERYONE danced!! And I mean everyone. I LOVE weddings like this!!
The rain was coming down when Karen and I left the party. We snapped this from our car!
Congrats you two on a simply BEAUTIFUL wedding day. The love in your families is admirable and I can’t wait to see where life takes you. xoxo
