Adam Tanya & Harrison | Columbus, Ohio Family Photography

This family has a special place in my heart…they are MICHIGANDERS!!! This is the only client where I could show up wearing my Michigan State sweatshirt (on game day) and not get kicked out of the house. 😉 (Oh you know I love my Buckeye friends!) These are my favorites from our time together.

Baby faces at this age melt me.

I love to shoot in my client’s home. I find light in the most unexpected places. We were camped out for the first half of this shoot on their kitchen floor. Don’t worry about your house not being straight out of Pottery Barn. Don’t worry that you don’t have your living space “finished” with all the decor you want. All the matters to me is light. And I will find it. I will.

It amazes me how the light changes with the seasons. It seems crisp and cool in the winter months as opposed to the soft and warm light that evening summer sun gives us. I welcome the change.

Mama snuggles.

So as I mentioned above…I love this family. When we did this shoot there was a huge winter storm warning with 4-5 inches of snow coming down. I called Tanya and said “I’m still coming. We’re from Michigan. I have four-wheel-drive. 4-5 inches? This is a dusting for us.” She agreed. And then we went outside in it. AHHHHH-mazing!!!

This is a favorite of mine! Not only is Harrison super adorable catching snowflakes…but he’s getting big squeezes from his dad. Something about dads and their boys…makes me swoooooon!

I can’t believe how much Harrison has grown! Congrats on your adorable growing family and your beautiful new house! Can’t wait to see you again this spring! xoxo
