When Megan and I spoke about her wedding for the first time over the phone, I loved her immediately. She has personality for daaaaaaaaays. And when she isn’t cracking me up with her sense of humor, she’s telling me how stress-free her wedding planning has been so far. Lemme tell ya….I LOOOOOOOVE a stress-free bride! Megan and Chris made the trip down to Columbus for their sunset engagement session. Needless to say we had a ball (at least I did!!) and these are my favorites from their session.
I told Megan right from the start – she has the BEST smile. Her entire face lights up. It was my goal to catch that beautiful, natural smile as much as I could. Chris helped. 😉
That image on the right there? FAVE!!!! Luuuuurve it!
Handsome husband-to-be!!! Megan, ya did good!
I have a feeling that this is a very common situation between these two. Mouth open laughing. That makes for a damn good relationship. 😉
Meg Megan, this is your natural, beautiful, happy smile. I love it. You two are lucky that you can make each other laugh so much. A marriage needs laughter. <3
I can NOT wait for your wedding day! If your engagement session was a preview for the fun and laughs that will be had, I’m in for a big treat! See you guys this fall! xoxo
Megan + Chris
Dating : 4/7/2012 :: Engaged : 12/22/2013 : Wedding Date : 10/4/2014
What did you do on your first date : (as told by Megan) Our first date lasted an entire day. I was living in Ohio City at the time and Chris came to meet me at my apartment. We grabbed lunch at Heck’s Cafe (awesome burgers), followed by a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. We got off at Peninsula and walked around the town, exploring the shops. Later, we grabbed dinner at Bar Cento. It was a perfect spring evening.
Describe Chris on your first date : Shy and awkward!
How did you (Chris) ask Megan to marry you : I told her she was getting an early Christmas present.
What are you most excited about for the wedding : Being surrounded by my closest friends and family when I marry my best friend (Megan) :: Having a good time with friends and family (Chris)
Advice for future brides and grooms : (advice from Chris) Just remember that it’s all about the bride. (advice from Megan) I have had a pretty stress-free wedding planning experience. I feel that is largely due to a few pieces of advice I have received from good friends or from my own observations. They are:
- Nothing will ever be “perfect”
- Have a game plan, but be open to new (and possibly better) ideas
- Stick to what is truly important to you
