These friends are are so special to my family. Drew and I became fast friends with Scott and Amy when the four of us were young couples just establishing our households in the heart of
German Village Merion Village (Hi Scott! I did that just for you!). After a brief separation where a job change took them to Florida, I’m happy to report that they left the sunshine state and returned to OH-IO just in time for what is promising to be a repeat of last year’s faaaaaaaabulous winter. Hope you guys remembered your defensive driving skills. Cause shizz gets real up here fast when the snow flies 😉
I’m especially glad that they’re back because our sweet babies get to spend extra time together. Maddy sometimes looks at Leo like he’s cray…but we all do. Enjoy my faves.
A fave! (Notice how I said “a” fave…I have a few.)
That one on the right…fave!! Amy…you are sooooooo gorgeous!!! And that little smile Maddy is throwing. Love it. Scotty, you have beautiful girls.
Congrats on surviving your first year of parenting!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! Cause I know first hand it aaaaaaaint easy, but we can’t remember a happy life without them in it. Love you guys!!! xoxox
SCOTT + AMY + MADISON
Dated : 2 years : Engaged : 18 months : Married : 6 years on 10/18!
AMY : Hometown : Englewood, Ohio : Favorite Food : Anything Italian! : Favorite Color : Purple : Described by Scott : Beautiful, smart, understanding, responsible, and one hell of an AMAZING mother!
SCOTT : Hometown : Grove City, Ohio : Favorite Food : Anything – unless it’s hamloaf…that’s just wrong and arguably unamerican : Favorite Color : Blue : Described by Amy : Funny, smart, a gentleman, handsome and thoughtful
MADISON : Hometown : Fort Myers, FL (technically) but she’s a Columbus gal : Age : 1 year : Favorite Food : cheese or anything with cheese on it : Favorite Toy : currently her Minnie Mouse airplane riding toy (thanks Danser’s) and her cuddle toy is her bunny : Described by M&D : funny, curious, adorable, sweet, our little fashionista!
What has surprised you most about parenthood : AMY : How much you appreciate the little things and how fun it is to watch them discover/experience new things, what being tired really means, and how little space and time you have to yourself (like using the bathroom alone, never happens!) but most importantly how incredibly strong our love for this little person who we never knew we couldn’t live without. : SCOTT : How smart she is and how quickly she picks up on things. She’s already giving me advice on how to bet the ponies.
Funniest thing that happened at her first birthday : AMY : She wouldn’t eat her cake so we took her hand and smashed it in the cake which made her burst into tears…apparently she doesn’t like to be messy when company is around! : SCOTT : Also how shy she was around all the attention. She didn’t have an opportunity to analyze everything which is what she likes to do (thanks to Daddy.)
