These two are ridiculously in-love. And it made our session together toooooo much fun! We walked around trying to find the last of the fall color and I must say it was a success! In addition to pretty color, we had the perrrrrrfect breeze that seemed to pick up whenever Kelsey’s hair wanted it to. It was fabulous. Enjoy my favorites!
Obsessed with the one on the right. The model wind blew at the perfect moment.
This one is another fave. Alex loves her so much.
This last one is hilarious to me….Kelsey is doing a rather accurate impersonation of Alex and Alex is looking at her like “Really!? That’s so right on!” (editors note: This is only my interpretation) 😉
Congratulations you two!!! I’m sure your wedding day will be full of love, laughter, and happiness. It was so fun to hang out! xoxo
KELSEY + ALEX
Engaged :: 10/17/13 :: Wedding :: 10/10/15
KELSEY :: Hometown :: Evansville, Indiana (5 minutes down the road from Alex) :: Favorite Food :: Sushi :: Described by Alex :: funny, smart, sweet, athletic and beautiful
ALEX :: Hometown :: Evansville, IN too! :: Favorite Food :: Every type of food (steak, pizza, cheeseburger, lobster, burritos – I love it all) :: Described by Kelsey :: smart, kind, hilarious, my best friend
How They Met :: (as told by Kelsey) Alex and I have known each other our whole lives. We have both gone to the same schools our whole lives and both played basketball. So we would see each other practicing. It wasn’t until I went to IU that I met Alex after I joined the sorority next to his fraternity. After meeting at a party (where I told everyone how great of a basketball player he was) he asked me to dinner. We were all set to go and then we had to postpone since we both had tickets to the IU vs Northwestern Basketball game. A few days later we went out to dinner at a sushi restaurant and we have been together ever since!
How He Asked :: (as told by Alex) Kelsey somehow thought it was going to happen, but I still wanted it to be a surprise. I told her I bought a Groupon, so she wouldn’t get suspicious that we were going to a fancy restaurant (and she knows I love a good deal) and told her to be ready to eat at 6 o’clock – little did she know that dinner was actually at 7:30. I picked her up and told her that the restaurant had called and said they had to push back the reservation and if she wanted to walk around Indiana University’s campus. Kelsey happily obliged, even though she was wearing heels, and we walked around the old part of campus. I took her to the Rosewell House, where it is a tradition for co-eds to be kissed underneath the arches. I had hired a photographer to capture the moment and bent down on one knee and proposed. Luckily, she said yes, and we spent the weekend at winery in Bloomington, and at the historic West Baden Hotel in West Baden, IN calling friends and family of the good news. We couldn’t tell everyone at once because Kelsey wanted her sorority sisters to find out that Sunday, after that we couldn’t wait to tell everyone about the good news!
