Jason & Tara | Columbus, Ohio Engagement Photographer

Whenever I’m asked if it’s ok that a couple brings along their pet to an engagement shoot…the answer is always YES! Soooooooo much yes!! I was obsessed with Stanley. He actually made me work for his affection – which I like! – we were allllllmost best friends by the end. Oh! And this couple!!! They are perfection!! 😉 Enjoy my favorites.

Looooove!! One of my faves!Hughes-32Hughes-29

Another favorite!! You two are the cuuuuuutest!

I adore you three! And I really can’t wait for your wedding in 2016. Yippee!!! xoxo

TARA | Hometown :: Canfield, OH | Favorite Food :: Ice Cream (any kind) | Described by Jason :: The love of my life!

JASON | Hometown :: West Milford, NJ | Favorite Food :: Hot Wings | Described by Tara :: Kind, Loving, Goofy, Balding, Supportive

How They Met | (Tara) we were supposed to meet at a bar, he went to the wrong one and we both thought we were being stood up, I ended up going to meet him where he was and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

How He Asked | (Jason) I convinced her to take our dog for a walk at Antrim Park in Worthington. I had told her that some friends of ours were walking their dogs and invited us to come along (duh, Stanley has to be involved). Already carefully planned, we walked along the bike trail until we got to a clearing and a bench that was placed on the river front. There, I told Tara to wait, as I was supposedly texting my friends to find out where they were. Little did Tara know, they were waiting in the woods with a camera, balloons and a bottle of champagne and this text was to tell them I was ready. At this time, we got up to continue walking when I stopped her, got down on one knee and proposed. I was so nervous I don’t know if I actually asked her to marry me or if I just jammed the ring on her finger, as I had completely forgotten my entire spiel that I had played over and over in my head. She said yes and the rest is history.
