Even though it poured the rain the entire day and most of the evening…we had a few minutes in between the ceremony and reception to capture some awesome photographs outside. The Piano Factory in downtown Grand Haven turned out to be a great spot for snapping a few shots. Tasha and Steve, you two had the best wedding party! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day. Photos of the reception are next! Stay tuned!
Today was worth every tear, every ache and pain, every llllllong training run, every orange G2 I’ve had over the past 3 months and every single step of the 26.2 miles that I covered. The last two miles of the race was the most exhilerating experience of my life. They say that a first time marathon runner can’t explain the feelings that they have as they close on the finish line and now I know exactly what they are talking about. Thank you to my mom and dad for being along the course and cheering me on. Seeing you guys at mile 25.6 was what kept me going through the mentally and physically challenging miles (21 through 23 were the WORST!) Meg and I crossed the finish line holding hands and pumping our fists…very cheesy and quite adorable. I was so glad that we were able to stay together through the entire thing. Thanks to Meg’s family for keeping us fired up through out the long 4 hours and 25 minutes and 55 seconds. I do have a few photographs from the event, but tonight I’m moving kind of slow and my beddy-by is calling my name. So tonight is a result only kind of night. I was pumped with my finish in my division…hey Meg, we didn’t finish last!
